MPTC Head Pro:
Matt Baccarani

Matt will be returning for his 7th season at Moore Park Tennis Club, bringing with him a unique blend of playing and coaching experience at the highest levels of the sport.

 

His tennis journey includes playing Division 1 college tennis, where he achieved National rankings of #60 in singles and #4 in doubles. Before college, he was a National Champion in U18 Doubles and earned ATP points in both singles and doubles, showcasing his competitive edge on the professional circuit.

His coaching career has been equally rewarding. He had the privilege of working with Genie Bouchard during a pivotal time in her career, coaching her to her first-ever professional tournament title and contributing to her Junior Wimbledon Doubles victory. His time coaching on the professional tour enriched his perspective, allowing him to blend elite-level coaching strategies with a strong foundation of competitive playing experience.

 

​This unique combination of playing and coaching at an All-American college level and on the professional tour allows him to bring valuable insights and expertise to every session. Matt looks forward to continuing to share his passion for tennis and help players achieve their goals.

Senior Pros
Kyla McNichol

 

Kyla McNicol is a coach 2 certified coach.

 

As a player, Kyla was ranked as high as top 15 in Canada in her final year of juniors (U18). She played four years at the University of Central Florida where she played #1 doubles and #2 singles for the UCF Knights.

 

She has coached for the past 15 years professionally and 5 years part time prior to that. Kyla was an assistant coach for two Western Canada Games and a Canada Games.

 

She was a Tennis Development Manager for Tennis Canada in 2010 before moving to Toronto where she has coached for the past 11 years.

She started at Timberlane Athletic Club in Aurora, followed by Rosedale Tennis Club, Mayfair Parkway and most recently York Racquets Club in midtown Toronto. 


Kyla will mostly be available for private lessons during the day on weekdays.

Hi there! I'm a Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 certified coach with a passion for tennis.

 

With over 14 years of playing experience under my belt, I've developed a deep understanding of the game from both a player's and coach's perspective.

 

For the past two seasons, I've had the privilege of coaching at top-notch facilities like Toronto Tennis City and Thorncliffe Park Tennis Club. Alongside my coaching role, I'm also a certified fitness instructor, allowing me to integrate strength, conditioning, and injury prevention techniques seamlessly into my coaching sessions.

​

My goal is simple: to help players of all levels reach their full potential on the court while fostering a love for the game that lasts a lifetime. Whether you're just starting out or aiming for competitive success, let's work together to take your tennis game to the next level!

Ethan Wachtel​

​

Ethan has played tennis for the past 13 years at the inter club under 18 and high school level. 

 

uring the Winter, he played intramural tennis at the University of Western Ontario.

 

He is Tennis Canada certified with his instructor 1 coaching level and is entering third year of teaching tennis.

​

Ethan is a TPA certified Instructor.

Josh Cadiz-Ramcharitar

​

Hailing from Ajax, Ontario, Josh was consistently a top 25 ranked Junior in Canada. Josh also competed on the Junior ITF Tennis Circuit before making the transition to play NCAA Division 1 Tennis in Florida. 

​

Over the past three years, Josh has coached High Performance and Adult / Junior programs at various clubs across the United States and Canada.

​

Josh is ecstatic to bring new energy to the club and further enhance Moore Park’s love and passion for the beautiful sport of tennis. 

​

Josh is TPA certified with his instructor 1 coaching level and has also attained his PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) certification along with his PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certification for coaching in the United States.
 

Janet Han​

A certified Tennis Canada Instructor, Janet has a true passion for the sport that shines through in her high-energy teaching style.

 

She excels at creating fun, engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student. Her supportive yet motivating approach fosters an inclusive environment conducive to building confidence and developing a love for tennis.

​

With years of experience competing in tournaments and leagues, Janet has an in-depth understanding of winning strategies for both singles and doubles matches. This strategic expertise, combined with her competitive playing background, is particularly valuable for coaching players looking to take their games to the next level. She can bring key tactical insights while relating first-hand to the challenges of high-level competition.

With her certifications, impressive playing resume, and passion for coaching all ages, Janet is well-suited for private, semi-private, and group lessons for juniors and adults throughout the season.

Ibarra is a tennis fanatic who enjoys competitive and friendly tennis tournaments.

 

He loves teaching beginners and intermediate players.

Amina Emes

 

Amina is a TPA Certified Instructor with over four years of coaching experience at Moore Park and Thorncliffe Park Tennis Clubs.

 

Having played since the age of four, she brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson, specializing in junior after-school programs, summer camps, and private lessons.

Amina enjoys designing engaging drills and games to make learning both fun and effective, helping players of all levels develop their skills and love for the game.

His dual perspective as a competitor and coach allows him to guide players in both technical improvement and a lifelong passion for the game.

Joshua is a TPA Certified Instructor and Top 50 ranked player in Ontario, bringing competitive experience and approachable coaching to Moore Park Tennis Club.

With extensive coaching experience across various settings, Joshua excels at making advanced concepts accessible and fostering a love for the game.

 

CPR/AED certified, he ensures a positive, safe environment while helping players unlock their potential and enjoy tennis for life.
